One of the nice things that our villa owners do for us is to make some nice changes once in a while. One of our favorite villas is Villa Cygne (Swan). Casually elegant and boasting one of the most magnificent views over the harbor, the villa entices many of our clients to go back year after year.
A few years ago, the owner enlarged the pool and deck. He put in a sunken bar so that guests could remain poolside when it is time for sunset cocktails. And what a sunset, indeed! As the sun sinks into the horizon, twilight brings beautiful orange and red hues to the sky and eventually galaxies of stars begin twinkling above distant St Maarten. The lights of Gustavia and the mega yachts that are docked below become visible indicating that another beautiful evening in St Barth has begun to unfold.
Sometimes it is so difficult to tear oneself away and head out to dine at one of the island’s fabulous restaurants, that we often arrange for a private chef to come in. The chef adores the prep and the cooking in Villa Cygne’s kitchen because it is so wonderfully equipped. As a bonus, he can also enjoy the view while he is at it.
Last summer the owner renovated the second king bedroom and this summer he has just completed the renovation of the third king bedroom. These two bedrooms are located in their own pavilions to the right of the swimming pool. The other bedroom is located on the right side of the main level not far from the outdoor dining area, kitchen and living room.
The Lurin location is perfect for those who want to be 3 minutes from the harbor and/or 5 minutes from Gouverneur Beach. Villa Cygne is the ideal choice for one, two or three couples. Although it is already booked for the Christmas holidays, it is available for Thanksgiving and there are some open weeks this fall, in January and in late March. (It’s a perfect place to watch the St Barth Bucket!)
